Abstract: Manuscripts on the effects of climate driven changes in flooding on the hydrology, chemistry, ecological functioning and biodiversity of riparian wetlands
This report presents the results from the experimental manipulations of riparian hydrology (flooding treatments) carried out in REFRESH. The experiments sought to simulate increased winter flooding periods by diverting stream water to flood stream riparian wetlands. The experimental field manipulations were carried out in Denmark, North Germany and the Netherlands. Results on wetland biogeochemistry (N and P), biodiversity (plants) and functioning (nutrient cycling) are presented. The deliverable comprises several one page summaries of manuscripts in preparation and a number of drafts manuscripts in various stages of completion.
